Lunch is possibly the most flexible meal in our day, often happening around other events like work or shopping. It can be tempting to skip lunch or to grab something in a paper bag that gets handed to you through your car window. Instead of going that route, there is now a healthy lunch alternative in North Naples. It is open when you need it and has a menu of organic foods varied enough to satisfy almost anyone.
If you are trying to maintain a specific diet or calorie level, the Food & Thought 2 menu makes it easy. You could choose something with flair, like our Taco Salad. This consists of romaine lettuce, roasted corn, tomatoes, red onion, black beans, walnut taco meat topped with tortilla chips, and cilantro lime vinaigrette served on the side. You can add a protein like chicken, shrimp, fish or tofu if you wish. Or perhaps something like the Fall Salad made of baby spinach, roasted butternut squash, Brussel sprouts, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and red onion tossed in a citrus vinaigrette.
If soup is what you want, the menu has choices. Our traditional chicken noodle soup is made with garden vegetables and brown rice noodles. Or maybe something like the Carrot Ginger soup made from fresh carrots and onions, cooked in a savory house-made vegetable stock. Finished with candied ginger syrup and coconut milk. Garnished with micro pea tendrils. Like all of our other foods, everything is made in-house and fresh.
Sandwiches are a frequent choice for lunch guests and we have some amazing choices. From a turkey club sandwich to our take on grilled cheese, there are choices. A traditional favorite is the Original Food & Thought Chicken Sandwich. The chicken sandwich is a grilled chicken breast, mozzarella, sliced tomato, red onion, arugula, and Food & Thought dressing on a toasted brioche bun.
Pescatarians may enjoy Captain Jerry’s Fish Sandwich, consisting of local wild-caught Gulf grouper, sliced tomato, and lettuce on brioche, with a side of tartar sauce. Our vegan customers may enjoy our Veggie Burger made of pan-seared vegetable rice patty, toasted brioche bun, portobello mushroom, sliced tomato, red onion, balsamic drizzle and basil aioli.
All of our sandwiches are served with a choice of side salad, air-fried potato wedges, coleslaw, fresh fruit, or tomato cucumber salad.
Some days just call for pizza. Our pizza, like everything we make here at Food and Thought 2, is made fresh in our kitchen from organic ingredients. From a traditional cheese pizza to our Signature Pie made of gluten-free cauliflower crust, ricotta cheese, pulled roasted chicken, shaved red onion, dates, mozzarella and blue cheese, arugula, and vanilla maple drizzle, there is something for even the most discerning palate.
All pizzas can be made with either Neapolitan Crust or Gluten Free Cauliflower Crust.
Kids Have Choices
If your healthy lunch plan includes the kids, the Food and Thought 2 menu has options for them as well. Our young diners can choose from things like pizza, cheese quesadillas, grilled cheese or deli sandwiches.
